I've been neglecting this little part of my blog but it isn't because things aren't continuing in the right direction. I'm determined that whatever else the redundancy is going to do to my life it isn't going to push this area off track! I've spent far too long on it so far and so much is riding on it that I can't even begin to think about letting it go!
So when I last left you I had lost a further four and half pounds. The following week to that I gained a pound. Which in all honesty isn't the end of the world especially considering the progress that I have already made. There was a reason for the weight gain, that actually was a pretty good one, but that is an involved tale that I will go into another time!!
The week after that I was back on track and lost another four and a half and was right back on track again! The week after that was redundancy week. I went to group in an attempt to keep some sort of normality in my life. I was terribly apprehensive though, I really didn't know how I was going to cope if I'd had a weight gain as I was already wandering about in a daze on the verge of tears. However, it wasn't a problem! Another three pounds gone and a boost that I totally needed! The leader of our group gave me another boost but again that is a story for another time! Crikey I am storing up some posts over here!
The week after that I flew out to Spain, where I still am at the moment. Swimming, fish eating, lazing by the pool and generally trying to get myself in a better frame of mind. So I've missed two weekly weigh ins at group now. I did go and weigh myself on Tuesday though. I wanted to get some sort of an idea as to whether I was still sticking to my diet.
I find when I'm here I don't tend to eat as often nor as much but I do tend to drink more not masses, just some rather than the practically none that I usually do at home. So I thought it would be just as well to go and get some sort of idea as to where I stood weight wise so I could go and do more swimming if I had too!
So after a trip to the pharmacy and a number of calculations to get from kilos to pounds I danced a little jig in the car park with M because post redundancy gin and cake have not made any difference and I have lost another seven pounds over the two weeks!
So many !!!! in this post but really can you blame me! We went clothes shopping today and I am down another dress size I've lost four inches off my bra size, it was a joy to be in the changing room!
So with those few weeks tallied up it brings me to a total loss of 39.5 pounds!

That's amazing Gemma. Well done! It's so hard when faced with other life issues - but in a way at least you have something else positive to focus on.
